Emailvision ran a survey and collected the results to created this new infographic. We asked the question "What is your primary goal for Social Media Marketing?". The results offer an insight on the main objectives which drive social media marketing.
A large percentage (44%) of people are using social media marketing for driving traffic to a website or landing page - Twitter is great for getting those click throughs! I am a little concerned at only 3% of people using social media marketing to gain knowledge about customer preferences. At the moment within social media there are not many ways to gain preferences about your fans/followers, many are concerned also about privacy of information. I think in the future marketers will have tools to really build up their Social CRM!
